Aussie takes Riviera lead
SILANG, CAVITE—Rookie PGT Asia campaigner Damien Jordan of Australia gutted out an even par 71 under sweltering heat on Friday to wrest a one-shot lead going into the final round of the $100,000 ICTSI Riviera Classic here.
Jordan eagled the par-4 15th—his third in two rounds—for a 54-hole 209 aggregate and lead Michael Bibat and American John Michael O’Toole, who fired a 69 and 70, respectively.
Antonio Lascuña stayed within two shots after a second straight 71.
Second round leader Erwin Arcillas was disqualified for using nonconforming wedges. After shooting a 77, the wedges were brought to the attention of officials by a player who refused to be identified.
