LeBron James, one of the greatest basketball player ever, has kept coming back to Manila and has given his Filipino fans a memorable show every time.
And it’s only fitting that the ‘Agimat,’ the Philippine-inspired colorway that brought life to his previous shoe will make its return and this time, it’s James’ LeBron Solidier line getting the Filipino treatment.
The shoe features accents that are tributes to Filipino warriors on the court and James’ pursuit of greatness coupled with his intense passion for the game.
Just like the Philippine-themed LeBron 14 released by Nike in May of last year, the Soldier 12 ‘Agimat’ has unique symbolisms. The MNL and 330 on the the shoe stand for Manila and James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio. The flame represents the Philippines being in the Ring of Fire for its many volcanoes and James’ burning passion. The four stars are a reminder of The King’s four MVP awards while the steep mountain is a nod to the country’s terrain as well as James’ relentless climb to be the best to ever play.
The LeBron Soldier 12 features a laceless design with a simplified strap, lower collar, and circular knit upper that also resembles the Filipino toughness.
The LeBron Soldier 12 ‘Agimat’ will release globally, including the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand beginning June 15 Each pair will retail for P6,745.
