Sal Andrei Lago became the latest to win three titles in the PPS-PEPP Ormoc regional age-group tennis tournament even as Bliss Bayking sustained her dominant ways at Ormoc Midtown Tennis Courts recently.
The 14-year-old Lago toppled doubles partner Nicholas Ocat, 6-2, 6-2, before ruling the boys’ 16- and 18-and-under divisions to join Althea Rose Martirez as the only players to win three divisions in the circuit.
Lago, a native of Sogod in Leyte, posted 6-2, 6-2 wins over 16-under top seed Cedrix Bravo and then over Ocat in the 18-U.
Bayking won two titles for the second time after clipping top seed Bless Coderos, 6-4, 6-1, in the girls’ 16-U finals before copping the 18-U plum with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Joyce Gorgonio.
