Kevin Durant has confirmed that he is staying put in Golden State this summer.
In an interview with ESPN, Kevin Durant said that he plans to re-sign with the Warriors, who are on a brink of a third title in the last four seasons.
“I’m planning on staying with the Warriors, and we’ll figure the rest out,” Durant told ESPN’s Rachel Nichols.
Durant is on the first year of his two-year $51 million contract with Golden State with an opt-out clause for the 2018-2019 season.

“Small details” of his new contract have yet to be finalized. According to reports, one of his options would be signing a four-year max contract worth $158 million.
Last offseason, Durant took a $10 million pay cut so the Warriors could keep key cogs Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.
Durant is coming off a phenomenal Finals Game 3 performance, where he put up 43 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists to push the Warriors to a 3-0 lead over LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers.
