Norbert Torres is still recovering from the wounds he suffered in a stabbing incident on Sunday but that didn’t stop him from showing up to support his teammates in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The 28-year-old big man was in attendance in Rain or Shine’s 104-94 victory over Blackwater Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum marking the first time he was seen in public since the incident.

“I’m still recovering, of course, it’s only been six days and I’m just waiting for the doctor’s clearance that will allow me to play and practice with the team,” said Torres. “I’m just happy we got the win today.”
Torres suffered cuts on his left arm that needed 11 stitches after he and his former La Salle teammates Jeron Teng and Thomas Torres were stabbed in an altercation in Bonifacio Global City.

Teng suffered wounds on his back while Thomas got his triceps cut up.
Torres, whose left forearm is wrapped up, said he would still need to rest for 14 days before he can return to normal basketball action.
“I’m still going to practices to show my support and I’m also talking to Jeron and Thomas and meeting with our lawyers as well,” said Torres.
