Pocari Sweat-Air Force remained unbeaten in the quarterfinals after taking down Iriga-Navy, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-22, in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Lady Warriors are at the top of the quarterfinals with a 2-0 record while the Lady Oragons have yet to win a game and joined Tacloban at the bottom of the standings with 0-2 records.
Madeline Palmer had 19 points to lead the Lady Warriors whose team outscored Iriga-Navy with 61 spikes to 48.
“I hope this kind of performance continues considering we have yet to lose a game,” said Pocari head coach Jasper Jimenez. “We need two more wins to secure one of the last semifinals spot so we’ll take it one game at a time.”
Creamline and PayMaya are already in the semifinals after ending the eliminations as the top two seeds with the last two spots in the penultimate round up for grabs for the six teams in the quarterfinals.
Macy Ubben had a game-high 27 points while Lauren Whyte added 18 for the Lady Oragons.
Arielle Love put up 18 points to help the Lady Warriors with Myla Pablo adding 14.
