Maraño, Valdez, Santiago lead final roster for PH women’s volleyball team

The Philippine women’s volleyball team will have a plethora of middle blockers as the final line-up for the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia was released Thursday Night.


Aby Maraño, who has been named the captain for the national team, will lead a team that includes Mary Joy Baron, Mika Reyes, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, and Jaja Santiago who can also play as an outside spiker.

Alyssa Valdez will lead the outside spikers for the Nationals, along with Ces Molina and Cha Cruz-Behag.


The setters are Jia Morado and Kim Fajardo with Dawn Macandili as the lone libero and Kianna Dy the only opposite spiker.

Head coach Shaq Delos Santos announced the team in a televised interview with ESPN 5 and also namedsetter Rhea Dimaculangan and libero Denden Lazaro as the reserves.
