Mayweather pleads no contest to misdemeanor charge
LOS ANGELES—Unbeaten US boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, already facing three months in jail, Friday pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge stemming from an altercation with a security guard.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported in an article posted on its website that the plea was part of a deal Mayweather had reached with prosecutors and had paid a $1,000 fine.
On December 21, Mayweather was sentenced to three months in jail, to begin January 6, after pleading guilty to domestic violence charges.

The guilty plea, and no contest plea to two harassment charges, ensured the 34-year-old fighter won’t go to trial on charges he hit his ex-girlfriend and threatened two of their children during an argument at her home 15 months ago.
Mayweather’s no contest plea on Friday took care of the last criminal charge he faced. He was accused of poking a neighborhood security guard in the face as they argued over the fighter’s parking violations.
