Davao, Nueva Ecija 3×3 squads forge title showdown

Team Tenorio-Davao and Team Jamito-Nueva Ecija booked their place in the biggest stage of Ginebra San Miguel 3×3 Tapang ng Tatluhan Basketball Tournament on Friday at Robinson’s Place Ermita .

Nelson Caduco waxed hot in the clutch in Team Jamito-Nueva Ecija’s 21-14 win over Team Ferrer-Pampanga in the first semifinal match.

Caduco, who scored his squad’s final three points, and Joel Cabunoc scored eight points apiece.

In the other semifinal series, Jummel Perdido drained the game-winning basket as Team Tenorio-Davao escaped Team Slaughter-Davao, 21-20.

Both teams will clash for the national championship on Sunday during the halftime of the highly-anticipated Manila Clasico game between Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Magnolia Hotshots at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
