Going for one last push to make the playoffs, Barangay Ginebra on Monday acquired the services of veteran sharpshooter Jeff Chan from Phoenix.

The Gin Kings traded the rights to their first round pick in the 2018 PBA Draft in exchange for Chan, the league announced on its Twitter account.

Chan gives Ginebra, which is currently outside the playoff picture in ninth place, some depth in the wing position and additional outside threat.

The Gin Kings have only won three of their first eight games and will need to sweep their last three games to avoid any complications of making it to the quarterfinals.

At 34, Chan remains a reliable contributor. He is averaging 11.6 points on 38 percent shooting from the 3-point area this conference,

The former national team mainstay finished with 26 points against Rain or Shine in his final game for the Fuel Masters on Saturday.

Chan is expected to make his Ginebra debut against Columbian on Wednesday night.
