Just a day after trading for veteran swingman Jeff Chan, Barangay Ginebra made another move anew, this time acquiring rookie Julian Sargent from GlobalPort, the PBA announced on its Twitter account on Tuesday.
The Gin Kings parted ways with Paolo Taha to get Sargent, who was a second round pick by the Purefoods franchise in the 2017 PBA Draft before he was sent to the Batang Pier in a draft day trade.

The 6-foot-1 Sargent averaged 2.3 points and 1.7 rebounds while playing close to 10 minutes a night in the seven games he’s played for GlobalPort this conference.
Taha, on the other hand, only saw action in three games out of the possible eight this conference for the Gin Kings while logging just a little over three minutes per outing.

Interestingly, Taha returns to the same team that drafted him late in the third round in 2014.
Chan and Sargent are expected to make their Ginebra debut on Wednesday against Columbian.
The Kings are fighting to make the playoffs. They are currently in ninth with a 3-5 record.
