Lady Warriors import Madeline Palmer’s crosscourt kill sealed the outcome.
“The team woke up after I said in the fourth set that we are facing a team mainly composed of high school players, who are just banking on two imports,” Pocari Sweat head coach Jasper Jimenez told reporters in Filipino.
Pocari Sweat came back from four points down to win the fourth set, 26-24, and extend the game to a deciding frame.
The trio of Myla Pablo, Arielle Love, and Palmer combined for 57 points for Pocari Sweat, which needs one more win to formalize its entry.
Lady Warriors need to win their next game against Tacloban Fighting Warays on Saturday to book a spot in the semis.
