Myla Pablo rises to thwart upset plans of BaliPure’s kids
BaliPure-National University looked poised to get their second win, but Pocari Sweat-Air Force team captain Myla Pablo wasn’t about to let her squad fall in an upset–especially against players who had yet to enter college.
Pablo rallied the Lady Warriors from a 2-1 deficit as she erupted for 22 points in their five-set thriller against the Water Defenders.
“I told my teammates as long as the other team doesn’t reach 25 points, we have to fight back,” Pablo said in Filipino.

She added the team should not be intimidated to Balipure, whose core comes from UAAP juniors’ champion NU Lady Bullpups.
“Early in the match, we were being outclassed by high school players. We realized we have to step up our game,” the Pocari team captain said.
Head coach Jasper Jimenez lauded Pablo for showing her superb play in the nick of time.
“Myla was a huge factor for us, especially if we don’t have any imports in front to counter the opponent’s. It was a huge factor that she stepped up tonight,”Jimenez said. Ivan Ruiz L. Suing
