MANILA, Philippines—Juan Enrico Jugo toppled third seed Enrico Ong, 6-3, 6-2, to make a surprise appearance in the quarterfinal round of the 12-under boys’ singles of the 23rd Andrada Cup Group I tennis tournament at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.

The unseeded Jugo was on fire on the get-go and never wavered for a straight-set victory that set him up for a duel with fifth-ranked Marraphael Teng, who posted a 6-0, 6-0 romp over Jerome Ignacio.

Favorites Arthur Pantino and Jacob Martin, meanwhile, breezed through their opponents as expected.
