Everything is set and ready to go for the Philippine Junior Golf Federation in staging the prestigious 12th Philippine International Junior Golf Championships Wednesday at the Ayala Greenfield Golf and Leisure Club in Calamba, Laguna.

“We got only the best and most promising junior players here, and the Ayala Greenfield course is at its best shape,” said tournament director Gerard Cantada, who is also a former world junior champion. “Best things to come in this tournament, we believe.”

Fifteen players from South Korea, seven from Taiwan, five from Singapore, four from Indonesia, two from Malaysia and one from Thailand will see action here and will be
tested by a crack local field coming from Metro Manila, Cebu and Cagayan de Oro.

“They all came, with the Singaporeans and Taiwanese arriving Monday,” added Cantada. “Most of them played practice rounds and were all praises for the Greenfield layout.”

Events on tap are the 10-under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17 and 18-21 boys and 12-under, 13-17 and 18-21 girls age brackets.
