Wayne Chism is Magnolia’s latest import in the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Chism, who has been tapped to replace Justin Jackson, is the Hotshots’ fourth reinforcement this conference after Vernon Macklin, Curtis Kelly and Jackson.

The 31-year-old Chism is also making his fourth stint in the PBA after suiting up for Rain or Shine twice in 2014 and 2015 and NLEX last year.

The one-time Best Import surprised PBA fans at Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday night when he and Magnolia guard Paul Lee watched the game between the Elasto Painters and the Meralco Bolts won by the Painters in overtime.

Though, Chism will be playing in a familiar league, it will be his first time being under a head coach not named Yeng Guiao.

Chism, however, won’t be playing with an entirely new set of teammates with Lee his former teammate at Rain or Shine.

Interestingly, Chism will be making his Magnolia debut against Guiao and the Road Warriors on Wednesday night at Mall of Asia Arena.

Much will be expected from Chism as Jackson, who averaged 20 points, 15.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.3 blocks, was sent home despite his production.

The Hotshots are currently fighting for a playoff spot with a 4-5 record.
