BaliPure-National University steamrolled Tacloban, 25-18, 25-16, 25-16, in its final game in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

“It was a very productive season for my team because it is the first time that a high school team was fielded in the league and we were able to go in step with the seasoned players,” said Balipure-NU head coach Babes Castillo.
Tied at 15 in the third set, Water Defenders unloaded a huge 10-1 run capped by an Alexis Matthews ace to ice the victory.
Up 8-6 in the second frame, Balipure used a quick 6-0 sprint to pull away for good.
Janisa Johnson led the Water Defenders with 17 points while Faith Nisperos added 13.
