Army to soldier on with breakthrough PVL win
The Philippine Army will take a five-set win any day in Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference–considering the stakes.
Troopers head coach Rico de Guzman said a winless campaign this conference could have prevented the team from joining other tournaments.
“If we lost today’s game, our commander might not allow us to play in the next conference,” de Guzman said in Filipino.

The win was a sigh of relief for the Troopers as they finished the conference at fifth place with a 1-2 win-loss card.
They were earlier advised to stop participating in tournaments if they could not produce any wins.
