D-League: Marinerong Pilipinas dumps AMA for 3rd win

Marinerong Pilipino-TIP walloped AMA University, 105-80, in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The Engineers led from the get go and never looked back, bringing their lead to as high as 29 in the third frame, 87-58.
“We need to take every game as a challenge, whatever team we face, and the guys responded today,” said Marinerong Pilipino-TIP head coach Koi Banal.
The Titans used a 13-2 blitz in the fourth frame to trim the lead to 15 but the Engineers answered with an 11-1 run to put the fame away for good.
Marinerong Pilipino-TIP improved to 3-3 while AMA slipped to 0-6.
The Engineers went 43-of-93 from the field, good for 46.2%, while AMA shot a measly 33.3%.
Javi Gomez De Liano delivered 27 points for Marinerong Pilipino while Jorey Napoles added nine markers.
