The Philippines bounced back from a debilitating loss in its first match and dealt Singapore a 3-0 beating in the ASEAN Football Federation Women’s Championship at Jakabaring Stadium in Palembang, Indonesia on Tuesday.
Joyce Semacio opened up the Malditas’ account in the fifth minute for the Philippines’ first goal of the match.
The Philippines’ got a 2-0 lead after Nur Umairah Natasha Khairul Anuar slotted the ball into her own net in the hour mark.
Quinley Quezada then thumped the Philippines’ third goal of the match, 3-0, in the 77th minute to seal the Malditas’ victory.
The Philippines evened out its record in Group B, 1-1, after losing to Myanmar in a 4-0 thrashing.
The Malditas will next face Vietnam on Saturday.
