Diamon Simpson returns to Alaska, Teng reactivated

Alaska has brought back a familiar face that has brought the franchise to the top of the league in 2010.

The Aces tapped former import Diamon Simpson in place of Antonio Campbell with one more game remaining in its PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Thursday.

Simpson first played for Alaska in 2010 and instantly became a hero for the Aces leading the team to the 2010 Fiesta Cup over San Miguel, which at that time had Gabe Freeman, Dondon Hontiveros, and Arwind Santos.

Simpson is rejoining an Aces team that holds a 7-3 record and could enter the quarterfinals with a twice-to-beat advantage courtesy of the no.2 seed.

Apart from the reacquisition of Simpson, Alaska also reactivated Jeron Teng in place of Davon Potts.

Teng seems to have recovered from the injuries he suffered in a stabbing incident in Bonifacio Global City in May.
