Add “architect” to Jessey de Leon’s budding resume.
A month after taking the board exams for architecture, de Leon was one of the hundreds who secured her license and can now add the title “Arch.” just before her first name.
Playing for University of Santo Tomas during its rougher patches in the UAAP, de Leon juggled varsity life, club volleyball, and Architecture—a rare course for Thomasian student-athletes who usually undertake liberal arts or business degrees.
“I’m finally an architect!” posted de Leon on her Instagram account. “Ever since I started juggling architecture and volleyball, from school until work, I always believed that I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).”
PetroGazz, de Leon’s current club team in the Premier Volleyball League, also sent out a congratulatory tweet together with a picture of the list of board passers.
