The New York Knicks still don’t know when Kristaps Porzingis will return from a torn left knee ligament, but new coach David Fizdale already has plans for the tall, talented Latvian.

Fizdale said he could play Porzingis at center, but could also use the 7-foot-3-inch Porzingis at small forward occasionally in a lineup that would give the Knicks “a whole bunch of wingspan.”

Fizdale said he would travel to Latvia after summer league play ends to get to know his star.
