NCAA Season 94 officially opens
The oldest collegiate sports association in the country officially opened on Saturday with host University of Perpetual Help ushering in the 94th season of the NCAA.
The 12 member schools of the NCAA led the ceremonial rights at Mall of Asia Arena a couple of hours before the start of the men’s basketball tournament.

Season 93 champion San Beda will take on the hosts Altas in the opening game with last year’s runner-up Lyceum facing San Sebastian.
Tamayo said the Season 94’s theme “UnParalleled Heights through Sports Development,” a play on Perpetual Help’s acronym, is a testament to the NCAA’s “commitment to develop sports in the country.”
“Sports development transcends beyond the physical aspects of sports,” said Tamayo. “It also involves developing character and honing leadership skills. Moreover, sports has a way of bringing people together and bring change.”
