Lifting her first finals Most Valuable Player in the Premier Volleyball League, Creamline setter Jia Morado knew it was all worth it.
Morado tallied two points and 29 excellent sets in Game two of their finals showdown against Paymaya.
The former Ateneo Lady Eagle said the Finals MVP award was only a bonus compared to Cool Smashers’ first PVL title.
“For me, I felt the championship was heavier compared to the MVP award,” Morado said in Filipino.
She credited the Cool Smashers’ defense for giving her opportunities to set up the spikers.
“I couldn’t have done my job if it weren’t for my teammates. They always get the first ball and they make it so easy for me to get the ball,” Morado said.
With the conference done, Morado set her sights on the upcoming Asian Games in August with the national team.
