PSL: PH women’s volleyball team picks up third win
Philippine women’s national team made quick work of Smart-Army 25-16, 25-17, 25-17, to end its campaign in the Philippine Superliga Invitational on Thursday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Down 11-16 in the third set, the Nationals unleashed a blistering 14-1 surge to seal their third win in the tournament where they are playing as a guest team in preparation for the Asian Games next month.
“Smart helped us be alert especially in their third set performances,” Philippines head coach Shaq Delos Santos said

The Philippine team proved to be too strong in blocking with 11 while the Giga Hitters had three.
Jaja Santiago paced the Nationals with 15 points while Mylene Paat added nine.
