Mindanao riders shine in MMF Supercross
Two riders from Mindanao, one a proven winner and a young turk, upstaged their rivals from Luzon to dominate the MMF Supercross Championship 2018 at the MX Messiah Fairgrounds in Taytay, Rizal.
Davao-pride Bornok Mangosong of United Athletes Mindanao frustrated rival Jerick Mitra of Nueva Ecija’s to rule the premier Shell Advance Motorcyle Oils Pro Open Production.
Article continues after this advertisementAt the end of the six-leg series, Mangosong, well-known for his daredevil drives, had a total of 140 points, two points ahead of Mitra. Ompong Gabriel finished third with 113 points.
Young Kiendrich Flores, who hails from the town of Kingking Pantukan in Compostela Valley, also excelled as he topped the Kids 50cc for 7-9 year-old riders.
Wenson Reyes, David Viterbo, Jojo Pagkatipunan, Jolet Jao, Clyde Alindayo, Pia Gabriel, Joshua Tamayo, Peter Loyola, Arvin Bacas, Ariz Amero and Alex Mapa topped their respective classes.
