Kim leads by 4 afer 65
ANTIPOLO—South Korean Kim Joo-hyung fired an eagle-spiked five-under-par 65 on Thursday to wrest a four-stroke lead after 36 holes of the Philippine Golf Tour Asia’s ICTSI Forest Hills Challenge here.
The 16-year-old, who played practically his entire amateur career in the country, had four birdies and an eagle 2 on No. 9 for a 131 aggregate to lead South African Mathiam Keyser and amateur Judeson Eustaquio, who carded 67 and 68, respectively, for 135s.
“My game in the first two days has been stress-free, not making many mistakes,” said Kim, who helped Southwoods to a fourth straight PAL Interclub title early this year.
He is also seeking to win back-to-back events after winning at Pueblo de Oro last week.
