Pacquiao, who has been fighting in the 147-pound division since stopping Miguel Cotto in 2009, said he had no problems making weight.
“I feel good. I liked how the weigh-in turned out,” said Pacquiao, who is gunning for his 60th win, in Filipino. “Everything is under control.”
The 39-year-old Pacquiao is aiming to reclaim his championship status while Matthysse is defending his WBA title for the first time.
“The Fight of Champions” set on Sunday features four world title bouts including a duel between unbeaten Filipino prospect Jhack Tepora and Mexico’s Edivaldo Ortega for the WBA featherweight belt.
