Ateneo started to build some momentum after brushing off Indonesia, 89-78, for its second straight win in the 2018 William Jones Cup Thursday at Xinzhuang Gymnasium in Taiwan.
After trailing 44-41 at the end of the first half, the Blue Eagles came alive and outscored the Indonesians 35-18 to take a 76-62 lead heading into the fourth.
Isaac Go spearheaded Ateneo’s attack with 21 points, 11 in the third quarter alone, with four rebounds and two steals.
Thirdy Ravena was a stat sheet stuffer finishing with 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists while Angelo Kouame and Patrick Maagdenberg also had 14 points apiece.
Ateneo improved to a 4-2 record while Indonesia dropped to 1-5.
Ricardo White had 23 points and nine rebounds to lead the Indonesians while Kaleb Gemilang had 18 points.
