Super 8: Perfect Etland drops winless Formosa en route to semis
MACAU—Etland breezed through the group stages and capped off its impressive run with an 87-52 stampede of Formosa in the Asia League Super 8 Thursday at Macau East Asian Games Dome.
The Elephants trampled their competition in Group A taking a perfect 3-0 record en route to the semifinals while the Dreamers are in the inverse with a 0-3 card.
After establishing an eight-point lead at the end of the first quarter, 21-13, the Elephants pushed the ante in the second outscoring Formosa 32-19 to build a 46-26 buffer heading into the break.
Kim Nak Hyeon led the Etland with 21 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and four steals while Kim jung Nyeon and Hong Gyeong Ki had 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Chai Wei put up 13 points for the Dreamers.
The Elephants will face either Blackwater, Guangzhou, or Seoul.
