San Beda stayed unscathed and came back to beat St. Benilde, 82-65, in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament Tuesday.

The Red Lions needed a furious fourth-quarter rally to halt the vastly-improved Blazers and hike their record to 2-0 after trailing for most of the game and by as much 12 in the first.

Robert Bolick carried San Beda on his shoulders, notching a career-best in points with 25, 12 coming in the payoff period.

“St. Benilde really played well today. Coach TY [Tang] really prepared for us,” said San Beda head coach Boyet Fernandez.

Javee Mocon provided solid back up with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Franz Abuda chipped in 12 points.

The Blazers, after their 90-79 drubbing of Mapua last week, slid to 1-2 so far.

Clement Leutcheu’s 22-point, 11-rebound effort went down the drain with the loss.
