PVL: St. Benilde sends San Beda to third straight loss

College of St. Benilde snapped its two-game skid and kept San Beda winless in four sets, 21-25, 26-24, 25-8, 25-23, in the 2018 Premier Volleyball Collegiate Conference Thursday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Lady Blazers chalked up their first win and improved to 1-2 while the Lady Red Spikers dropped to a woeful 0-3.

Marites Pablo had 16 points to lead Benilde while Klarisa Abriam and Chelsea Umali provided ample support with 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Nieza Viray’s 19 points led San Beda while China Tannagan and Kimberly Manzano had 12 and 11 points, respectively.

St. Benilde just had a slim 46-43 spike advantage but pounced on San Beda’s sloppy offense scoring 38 points off the Lady Red Spikers’ errors.
