PVL: Perpetual stops skid, cuts down San Sebastian for first win

University of Perpetual Help joined the winners’ circle after taking down winless San Sebastian in four sets, 25-15, 19-25, 27-25, 26-24, in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference Thursday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Lady Altas ended their winless start and improved to 1-2 so far while the Lady Stags have yet to win in their three games.

Maria Tripoli had a game-high 22 points for the Lady Altas while Cindy Imbo added 12 points.

“I told them that we should go into this conference a game at a time and I think this will be the start for us going forward,” said Perpetual head coach Macky Cariño.

Shannai Requirme led San Sebastian with 16 points while Mary Rose Dhapol had 12.
