The Big Red Machine is set to take on another role outside of the ring—public office.
Glenn Jacobs, popularly known as Kane from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), won the mayoralty of Knox County, Tennessee, as per ABC 6 on Thursday.
The 51-year-old wrestler, who ran as a Republican, won 2-1 against Democrat nominee Linda Haney. Jacobs received a total of 51, 804 votes.

Kane is not the first wrestler to be elected in public office. WWE Hall of Famer Jessy “The Body” Ventura became the mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, from 1991 to 1995. He then became the Minnesota governor from 1999 to 2003.
