/ 05:14 AM August 05, 2018

University of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University will try to move closer to the semifinals as they take on fellow unbeaten opponents Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at FilOil Flying V Centre.

The Tigresses and the Lady Tamaraws need to win just two more games each to secure tickets to the crossover semifinals of the meet serving as a preview of the coming collegiate leagues.

But to get there, UST will have to  tangle with University of the Philippines at 2 p.m., while FEU will square off with Adamson at 4.

Rookie Eliya Laure and sophomore Milena Alessandrini have been the backbone for the Tigresses, who have so far defeated San Sebastian, Perpetual Help and San Beda.

The Lady Maroons will pose as a big threat, though, behind heavy hitters Isa Molde and Arielle Estranero.

The Lady Tams also face a big test in the Lady Falcons, last UAAP season’s surprise team who have so far won two of their games here.
