Barrientos keeps lead in 2 divisions in GMTBC Open qualifiers
Art Barrientos, one of the country’s most promising bowlers, continued to pace two divisions in the ongoing 4th GMTBC-Yee Lu Fa Invitational Open Championships at the Sta. Lucia Grand Mall Bowling Center in Cainta, Rizal.
Results of the qualifying games on Tuesday showed Barrientos of TBAM-Prima posting a total of 1353 in six games to lead the Mixed Open class, followed closely by another TBAM-Prima mainstay Tyrone Ongpauco with 1352, and Charles Calamba of Sletba-GMTBC with 1323.
Barrientos also shows the way in the Mixed Youth division with 1305, with Kayle Abad of PBA-Nobleland and Noelle Campos of TBAM-Prima trailing with 1296 and 1293, respectively.
Article continues after this advertisementIn the Mixed Classified category, John Tiongson of PBA rolled a six-game series of 1381 to wrest the lead from erstwhile leader Jun de Guzman of Sletba-GMTBC who has 1314, followed by Fernand dela Cruz, also of PBA, with 1281.
De Guzman, however, continued to lead in the Mixed Seniors division with 1386, followed by Dela Cruz with 1353, and Danny Torres of Sletba-GMTBC with 1352.
Pauleen Sta. Ana of TBAM-Prima is the new leader in the Mixed 14 & Under category with a four-game series of 1085, followed by Kassie Yap of Sletba with 1054, and Alexa Nuqui of PBA-Nobleland with 950.
