Unbeaten Lady Falcons post sixth victory

Adamson kept its unbeaten streak going after brushing aside San Beda, 25-16, 16-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-8, on Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Lady Falcons started to show exhaustion over their string of victories but still managed to score their sixth win, just one victory short of sweeping the elimination round.

St. Benilde also beat hapless San Sebastian, 25-16, 23-25, 25-12, 25-17, to post its second win in six matches.

Adamson coach Airess Padda lauded her squad’s mental toughness.

“It was a little rough to win on back-to-back days,” said Padda, referring to their four-set triumph over erstwhile unbeaten University of Santo Tomas on Saturday.

The win secured the top spot for the Lady Falcons in the semifinals. They will go for a sweep against ousted San Sebastian on Sunday.

The Lady Red Spikers slumped to a fourth defeat in five starts.
