San Beda bucked a third-set collapse to hack out a 25-19, 25-15, 9-25, 25-21 victory over Perpetual Help in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference on Wednesday night at FilOil Flying V Center to keep its semifinal hopes alive.

It was just the second win of the Lady Red Lions but they can still take a long route to the semifinals.

San Beda has to beat the University of the Philippines and then hope St. Benilde loses its two remaining matches against Perpetual and San Sebastian.

Perpetual absorbed its fifth defeat in six outings and is out of contention along with winless San Sebastian.

Adamson, University of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University have already snapped up the first three semifinal berths. —MARC ANTHONY REYES
