It was a good start for Alaska in the PBA Governors’ Cup after brushing off Meralco 80-72 in its opening game, but for its import Mike Harris, he knows he could’ve done more.

Harris finished with 23 points and 15 rebounds for the Aces in his first game in the PBA, but the 35-year-old import said his performance wasn’t up to his standards.

“In my opinion, it was terrible, it was my first game and I still have some stuff that I got to adjust to,” said Harris Friday at Mall of Asia Arena. “The officiating, although I like the physicality.”

“I missed shots, maybe I overthought a little bit, but it’s always good to get a win whether you play good or bad.”

Harris converted just 9-of-19 from the field but it was still a decent clip.

He also had the biggest shot of the game when he hit the dagger three-pointer to give Alaska a 78-70 lead that stopped the Bolts’ 10-0 run, with 23 seconds remaining in the game.

Harris, however, did find a bright spot in his performance and that was his rebounding.

“I was still able to rebound, I rebounded very well but I missed free throws, which I’m very disappointed in myself,” said Harris. “I know I can be better, I think my teammates have seen it in practice.”
