Asian Games: PH wins 2 more bronzes in pencak silat

The Philippines added two more bronze medals courtesy of its pencak silat team on Sunday in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

Jefferson Loon settled for the bronze after dropping a 5-0 decision to Ngoc Toan Nguyen of Vietnam in the semifinals of the men’s 60-65kg event.

Dines Dumaan, the 2017 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, also suffered the same fate, bowing to Muhammad Faizul M Nasir of Malaysia, 5-0, in the semis of the men’s 50-55kg class.

The Philippines now has 10 medals, nine of which are bronze, with one gold delivered by weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz.
