Poy Erram showed just how far he’s willing to keep the ball alive for the Philippines, including losing two front teeth.

Erram’s face landed hard on the floor as he dove to save the ball in the third quarter of the Philippines 91-82 loss to rival South Korea in the 2018 Asian Games men’s basketball quarterfinals.

The lanky bigman had to be taken out of the game for treatment with the Filipinos leading 54-46. He finished with four rebounds and two blocks in 13 minutes of action.

“I’m okay! It’s far from the gut, mga kabayan!” said Erram in an Instagram story showing one of his front teeth being fixed.

Erram, who is one of the younger players in this Asian Games squad, still managed to flash a toothy—or in this case toothless—grin after the game.

The Philippines can salvage fifth place beginning with the game against Japan on Tuesday in the classification phase.
