Even with limited action from Robert Bolick, San Beda still dominated Jose Rizal University, 77-44, Tuesday in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament.
Bolick scored four points in just 17 minutes of play, but the Red Lions hardly needed their star forward with the bench stepping up to deliver their eighth win at the end of the first round.
Calvin Oftana uncorked a career-high 16 points for San Beda while AC Soberano added 11, all but two from the three-point line.
“I just want to give an opportunity to my other players,” said San Beda coach Boyet Fernandez.
Bolick is coming from a historic 50-point explosion in their 98-79 win over Arellano last Friday.
The Bombers, meanwhile, crashed to their seventh defeat with only two wins to their name so far.
