PH’s Rogen Landon advances to Asian Games boxing final

Rogen Ladon has a shot to give the Philippines its fifth gold medal after advancing to the finals of the men’s flyweight division in the boxing event of the 2018 Asian Games JIExpo in Jakarta.
The 24-year-old Ladon earned a unanimous decision, 5-0, win over Thailand’s Yuttapong Tongdee in the semifinals.
The judges scored the bout as follows, 30-27, 30-27, 29-28, 29-28, 30-27.
The Philippines has a four gold medals so far in Indonesia and Ladon together with his teammates Eumir Marcial and Carlo Paalam all have a chance to improve that standing.
Ladon will face Uzbekistan’s Jasurbek Latipov on Saturday at 3:15 in the afternoon (Manila time).
