Adamson forces semis Game 3 vs UP

Adamson University stayed alive after blanking University of the Philippines, 25-23, 25-19, 25-21, in Game 2 of the Premier Volleyball League semifinals Saturday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Lady Falcons tied the series at 1-1 and caadvance to the title round on Sunday for Game 3.

Eli Soyud put up a game-high 14 points for the Lady Falcons while Chiara Permentilla and Bernadette Flora had nine points apiece.

Adamson head coach Air Padda said their Game 1 loss was the metaphorical slap that woke them up after they went on a perfect run in the eliminations.

“I think that Game 1 loss did more for us than we thought it ever could, last game was a huge wakeup call for us,” said Padda.

Roselyn Rosier and Isa Molde had eight points each to lead the Lady Maroons while Marian Buitre added seven.
