Lady Falcons, Lady Tams stay alive, force KO duels

Adamson and Far Eastern University turned back their respective opponents Saturday night to schedule sudden death showdowns for Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference finals berths at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Adamson dusted off its Game 1 defeat to get back at University of the Philippines 25-23, 25-19, 25-21, to forge a deciding Game 3 for their semifinal series on Sunday.

It was a morale-restoring win for the Lady Falcons, who suffered their first defeat in the conference at the hands of the Lady Maroons last Wednesday.

Earlier, Celine Domingo fired 19 points to power FEU to a 22-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-20 triumph over University of Santo Tomas in their best-of-three semis series. Jerrili Malabanan added 17 points.

FEU and UST also collide in a Game 3 of their semifinal duel on Sunday. The winners will meet in another best-of-three championship series starting on Wednesday.

Kyle Negrito also starred for FEU with 12 points.
