PSC plans major meet to strengthen grassroots

Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chair Butch Ramirez announced an honest-to-goodness strategic planning among the Department of Education (DepEd), the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the PSC has been penciled early next month to strengthen grassroots programs.

“We are seriously planning on giving our all-out support for grassroots development in partnership with DepEd and the local government,” said Ramirez.

With the collaboration, Ramirez said the best athletes from the Batang Pinoy, the Palarong Pambansa and international sports youth tournaments would be carefully identified to strengthen the country’s talent base.
