NCAA: Red Lions rip Cardinals for 10th win
San Beda dominated Mapua, 80-55, for remain one of the hottest teams in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament on Friday.
The Red Lions shrugged off a slow start against the Cardinals then broke the game wide open in the second quarter en route to a 10-1 record, just game behind league-leader Lyceum.
Donald Tankoua unloaded 24 points that went with eight boards for San Beda, while Calvin Oftana added 11 points.
The Cardinals, meanwhile, faltered to 2-8 after a sixth straight loss. Laurenz Victoria led the team with 19 points.
