University of the Philippines will enter Game 1 as heavy underdogs against Far Eastern University on Sunday.

But UP coach Godfrey Okumu hopes that the Lady Maroons, newcomers to the finals, will give the Tamaraws a tough challenge in their Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference championship feud.

“It is very special for us coming to the finals,” said Okumu of their first ever final appearance in the league. “The players knew that this was a sign of many more things to come.”

The two teams play Game 1 at 6 p.m. at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan and the Lady Maroons, according to Okumu, are aware that they are facing a championship-savvy FEU side.
