Isa Molde had to carry much of the load for University of the Philippines with Tots Carlos out for the entire Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference due to a shin splint.
Molde led the depleted Lady Maroons to the PVL Finals and her efforts certainly didn’t go unnoticed after she was named MVP of the conference.
The 19-year-old Molde was also named 1st Best Outside Spiker during the awarding ceremony on Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Molde and the Lady Maroons shoot for a sweep of Far Eastern University and the PVL title later at 6 p.m.
Molde wasn’t the only Lady Maroon getting recognition after Aie Gannaban bagged the 2nd Best Middle Blocker award.
Meanwhile, Celine Domingo was the lone Lady Tamaraw earning a citation as the 1st Best Middle Blocker while four Adamson players in Bernadette Flora (2nd Best Outside Spiker), Eli Soyud (Best Opposite Spiker), Mary Jane Igao (Best Setter) and Tonnie Rose Ponce (Best Libero) were recognized for their individual brilliance.
